Boulder County Aging Services Division
June 2011
Web Site | 303-441-3570 Boulder County Aging Services Division (BCASD) promotes the health and well-being of older adults by building on individual, family, and community strengths. In addition to being a division of county government, Aging Services is also the Area Agency on Aging for the county. They use a strengths-based philosophy in the service delivery in order empower adults and their family caregivers to make informed decisions and choices about current needs and long-term care. Their services support adults 60 and over and their adult caregivers, regardless of age. Additionally, BCASD has created an LGBT cultural competency training program for senior care providers called “Project Visibility.” Trainings are offered at no charge, and a film and manual are available for purchase. BCASD also publishes “The Silver Lining” directory of LGBT-friendly senior service providers. |
