This webinar for long-term care ombudsmen has three goals: raise ombudmen awareness of the challenges facing LGBT consumer in long-term care facilities, identify existing resources and supports for LGBT long-term care consumers, and highlight the role of ombudsmen advocating on behalf and with LGBT consumers, and why this is such important work.  Includes presentations by Hilary Meyer, director of the National Resource Center on LGBT Aging, Eric Carlson, attorney at the National Senior Citizens Law Center, and Jennifer Solms, a Denver-based Long-term Care Ombudsman.  Also includes a presentation by a lesbian resident of a retirement community.
