"My son and daughter-in-law will not let me see my grandson. They think I will do something to him. I don’t even know him now. It breaks my heart not to see him."

This article reports on three surveys of transgender older adults.  One survey looked at their experiences about elder abuse, including what they viewed as "abuse."  The other relevant study looked at the sexual violence expriences of transgender people age 50 and up.
