The contemporary LGBT movement is young enough that many of the elders present at the founding moments of the movement are alive today. It is crucial that LGBT elders receive competent, comprehensive care and support not simply because those services are basic human rights, but also to support the dignity and well-being of the change-makers who paved the way for the incredible advancements of our community. ”
