This is a wonderful piece of work, beautifully presented. As we age into our senior years, each of us in the LGBT community must eventually confront these issues. What has struck me, especially, now that i have hit my seventies, is how few of my gay friends are around. I sometimes feel myself the last gay man left. Given the controversy over the whole straight woman/gay man issue -- the so-called GBF syndrome -- I must admit that most of my friends are straight women. And while I haven't been nailed as a GBF, i am well aware that my gayness is integral to our friendships. I am on the same plain -- emotionally and intellectually -- as these women. I would love to see a study, a genuine research project, exploring this reality. I'd be the first to take part. thanks much for this publication and all of your work. As an aging gay man, I am deeply grateful.
