Los participantes registraron altos niveles de maltrato, acoso, y violencia en cada aspecto de la vida. Uno de cada diez (10%) de los participantes cuya familia más cercana ya sabía que era trans respondió que alguno de sus familiares lo trató con violencia por ser trans, y el 8% fueron echados de su casa por ser trans.

Con casi 28,000 participantes, La Encuesta Estadounidense Trans del 2015 (U.S. Transgender Survey o USTS) es la encuesta más grande jamás realizada de las vidas y experiencias de personas trans.
