Many LGBT older adults face discrimination when applying for housing. The Equal Rights Center, working with the support of SAGE, found that 48 percent of older same-sex couples applying for senior housing experienced some form of discrimination (Equal Rights Center, 2014).

This fact sheet explores ways to increase LGBT cultural competence in housing and long-term care.
