SAGEConnect is a program designed to pull isolated or lonely LGBT older people tighter into our community and make sure they feel safe, loved, and visible despite having to stay indoors. SAGEConnect matches volunteers who can commit to calling their match at least once per week with older LGBT people who are interested in receiving a call.

SAGE Raleigh seeks to strengthen individual and community development by identifying the needs and advocating for resources benefiting the diverse population of LGBT people, their friends and supporters within, and beyond, central North Carolina. In addition to advocacy work, SAGE Raleigh conducts a number of social and educational activities, including meals, support groups, drop-in centers, and educational workshops.

SAGE Wilmington of the Cape Fear Coast is dedicated to providing a haven for LGBT older people, and those who care for them in order to build up this unique community. “Coffee and Conversation” discussion groups, educational seminars, and social activities are part of a larger goal of working with LGBT elders to become activists and community partners. In addition, SAGE Wilmington also provides cultural competency trainings to other groups in Southeastern North Carolina.
