The Gender Alliance of the South Sound (GASS) is located in southern Puget Sound region of Washington state that provides support, community outreach, resources, peer counseling, and social activities for individuals who are transgender, crossgendered, intersexed, androgyne, gender variant, cross-dressing or whose expression of gender is different from their assigned gender at birth. The organization also provides educational and social services and programs for families, friends and allies. GASS assists low-income individuals with name-changes on their birth certificates, driver's licenses, Social Security Cards, and Passporta, and runs a support/discussion group that meets at least seven times per month. GASS also offers SOFFA and transmen specific support groups.
